Electro Group Apprentices (EGA)
Electro Group Apprentices are a not for profit Group Training Organisation (GTO) that was formed in 1998, run by the industry for the industry. We were founded by the Electrical Contractors Association (ECA) and the Electrical Trades Union (ETU), who both have members on our Board of Directors.
Electro Group Apprentices are the legal employer of the apprentice for the duration of their apprenticeship. We ensure that the apprentice is competent in their:

On the Job Training - this is done by placing them with our Host Employers (electrical contractors). The allows the apprentice to get a full scope of work in all areas of the industry and to become the best electrician they can.

Off the Job Training - this is done by attending Electro Group Training to complete the Certificate III in Electrotechnology.
We are also responsible for:

Apprentice safety

Sufficient tools of the trade, uniforms and PPE have been issued

Wages and Superannuation

Work Cover, Income Protection by arrangement with Spec Q
