NOTE: The following course and fee structure is based on a typical student having previously completed either UEE30811 or UEE30820 Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician and being eligible for a proportion of UEE42611 Certificate IV in Hazardous Areas - Electrical as credit transfer. If your electrical qualification predates UEE30811 Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician, please contact Electrogroup Training on 1300 347 687 for additional costs and information regarding Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).

Fee is calculated through a Construction Skills Queensland (CSQ) funded subsidy of $179.61 per claimable competency plus a student fee of $225.

Five day on campus face-to-face training (Tuesday to Friday, then the following Monday) plus additional work in own time: which consists of pre-work quizes before class attendance and reports to complete over a weekend.

About this course

UEE42611 Certificate IV in Hazardous Areas - Electrical 

This course is designed to give participants knowledge and practical skills for installing and
maintaining electrical equipment in hazardous areas. The course covers competencies in the
installation, maintenance and testing of equipment in hazardous areas as well as procedures
to attend to breakdowns. You will be required to complete additional work in your own time
on top of your face to face attendance to achieve this Certificate.


Must be a holder of a Nationally Recognised Unrestricted Electrical license OR an
Instrumentation trade Certificate III in Instrumentation and Control. If you have previously
completed Certificate IV in Electrical—Instrumentation, units may be credited to the
Certificate IV Hazardous Areas Electrical. Please Contact us to discuss these options. An entry
requirement is that participants must hold a current unrestricted electrical license.

Students will also need to complete pre-work before attending college.
