About this course
This is a non-accredited industry course. The course is intended for licensed electrical mechanics that work in the construction industry and perform electrical installations at construction and demolition sites. Participants will learn the minimum requirements for the design, construction and testing of electrical installations that supply electricity to appliances and equipment, and for the in-service testing of portable, transportable and fixed electrical equipment used on construction and demolition sites.
The course is designed to cover the requirements of Australian Standard AS/NZS 3012:2019, Electrical installations – Construction and demolition sites and relevant sections of referenced standards such as AS/NZS 3000, Wiring Rules, and AS/NZS 2293 Emergency Lighting, ASNZS 3439 Low-voltage switchgear and controlgear assemblies.
