About this course
This course will provide participants with the underpinning knowledge and skills to work with
optical fibre telecommunications cabling.
By completing this course, learners will gain the necessary specialist competency (previously
known as endorsement) to undertake optical fibre cabling work.
The Australian Communications and Media Authority’s (ACMA) new cabling provider rules
require technicians undertaking optical fibre cabling work to complete this competency.
This is an open registration endorsement only.
Prerequisites
Learners with an Open Cabler Registration qualify to receive the coaxial cabling specialist
competency (endorsement).
