Overview
This is a prevocational course in Electrotechnology training that is delivered to affiliated schools who currently have a Third Party Agreement with Electrogroup Training. This course is recommended as a ‘pre-apprenticeship’ pathway for a full Certificate III in Electrotechnology, trade qualification. Once you have completed this course you will have gained theory knowledge and practical experience in a hands-on training environment. With the completion of work experience you will also learn first-hand from qualified tradesperson working within in the industry. Please note this is a VET in Schools program funded by the Queensland Government under the Cert III Guarantee program. - Occupation health and safety
- Solving problems in electrical circuits
- Identifying and selecting electrotechnology materials
- Use of equipment, technologies, and dismantle, assemble and fabricate technology
- Solve problems in extras-low voltage single-path and multiple-path DC circuits

Do I need to have Prior Knowledge or Work Experience?
You will not need any prior knowledge or work experience relating to the electrical industry. A high level of maths and science skills is highly recommended.
What can I continue to study after this?
Having completed the Certificate II in Electrotechnology, participants may seek further advancement and proceed to the Certificate III in Electrotechnology (apprenticeship).

Prior to enrolment we are able to assess your skills via Credit Transfers If you have completed an accredited program through another training provider or you have relevant industry experience you may be eligible to receive a Credit Transfer. How do I enrol onto this course?
This is a school-based course, where training is provided to schools that have a current Third Party Agreement with Electrogroup Training. If you are a student that meets the pre-requisites to this course and have signed up to this course through an affiliated school, please see below online enrolment form to complete online and email back to Training [at] electrogroup.com.au. Please note that all students under 18 years of age require a parent or guardian signature on the enrolment form.
