Electro Group Training is an industry owned and operated registered training organisation (RTO) established by the Queensland Electrotechnology industry in 1999 as a not for profit Industry Skills Centre.  We are a nationally registered and accredited training company located in Rocklea, Brisbane. Our specialty is electrical apprenticeship training from 1st year to Capstone.

EGT is not a state government owned TAFE Institute.  EGT is the only Technical And Further Education training college owned by the electrical industry in Queensland.  We focus on one industry only and therefore we can provide the best training possible for the Electrotechnology industry.  We don't train in any other trade or hobby course.  So you can be sure you're getting industry specific training from electrical industry professionals. And as a bonus - no frustrating bureaucracy to deal with.

EGT is provided with funding from the Queensland Government through the Department of Education and Training.  These funds are for apprenticeship training to provide industry with an alternative to other institutes so that employers and apprentices can choose who they feel is best suited to them for apprenticeship training. Hence the term "User Choice".

Additionally a wide range of courses are offered for electricians to upskill on a fee for service basis.  These include PV (Solar) Design and Install, CPR and Switchboard Rescue re-certification every Tuesday and Thursday afternoons.

EGT can also assist electrical companies and contractors develop their training capabilities.

Audit Compliance

As a nationally accredited training provider in Electrotechnology, EGT is subject to audits by the Department of Education and Training to ensure compliance the the Australian Quality Training Framework (AQTF).  This framework is the national industry standard that all training organisations in Australia must meet and  adhere to.
